The University of Guyana (UG) and New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI) will battle for the coveted Tertiary Basketball Knockout Championship after semi-final wins last night at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
UG schools: Linden Technical Institute 87-52. Jushawn Bailey bagged a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Jether Harris supported with 18 points, and Leandre Abrams tallied 15 points and 13 rebounds for his double-double.
For the loser, Minian Vincent tallied 14 points and nine rebounds, while Jemol Semple scored eight points.
Meanwhile, NATI squeaked past the Guyana School of Agriculture 67-66. Charles Williams amassed 36 points, six rebounds, and five steals, while Qwesi Joseph supported with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds.
For the loser, Dennis Prince registered a double-double of 35 points and 11 rebounds, while Shannon Wilson also recorded a double-double feat with 11 points and 21 rebounds.
