The Golden Jags U17 unit suffered a crushing defeat to Suriname yesterday in the opening match of their two-game international series at the Dr. Franklin Essed Stadium, Paramaribo.
The Guyanese lost 0-4, as conversions were incurred on either side of halftime. The series will conclude today at the same venue at 19:00 hrs. The tournament is a partnership between the Guyana Football Federation and its Surinamese counterpart and is being utilised to provide vital international experience for emerging players.
