Rosignol, Paradise, and Cougars recorded contrasting wins when the 2023 edition of the GT Beer 8-a-side knockout football tournament continued on Sunday at the All Saints Presbyterian Church ground in New Amsterdam.
Rosignol crushed Heart of Oak 6-0. Rayon Roe bagged a double in the 12th and 30th minutes, while Nial Reynolds, Reyon Solomon, Neil Linton, and Evon Smith scored in the 15th, 18th, 25th, and 27th minutes.
Similarly, the Cougars thrashed Ithaca 6-1. Meanwhile, Paradise downed New Amsterdam United 2-1. Aubrey Joseph and Jamal Fyfee scored in the 14th and 18th minutes, respectively, for the victor. On target in the loss was Tyrick Ogleton in the 24th minute.
The quarterfinal segment will commence on Friday at the same venue.
