Eagles, Kwakwani, and Colts recorded wins when the ‘One Guyana’ Basketball Championship continued on Sunday evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
Eagles clawed past the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans 68–61. Travis Belgrave amassed 25 points in the win, while Kwesi Thompson and Michael Richards scored nine and eight points each.
On the other side, Kadeem Peterkin registered 24 points, while Jether Harris added 11 points.
Meanwhile, Kwakwani mauled Caimans 89–32. Domair Gladstone led the rout with 17 points, while Shafeek Thomas and Jamal Gilkes added 11 and eight points, respectively. For the loser, Akeem Miggins scored six points.
Similarly, the Colts crushed Kobras 98-55. Shelroy Thomas tallied 26 points, while Errol Dryden and Dellon LaRose scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.
For Kobras, Elijah David and Trevor Smith scored 15 and 13 points apiece. The tournament will take a break and resume in January 2024 with the elimination segment.
