Rayad Mohamed, a 22-year-old fisherman from Lancaster/ Unity, East Coast Demerara was arrested on 2023-11-14 by a rank from Mahaica Police Station and charged yesterday with ‘Robbery Under Arms’.
The police said in a release that he is accused of committing the act on Naresh Luke, a 47-year-old of Unity, Mahaica and Bhajart Jaggernauth, a 33-year-old also of Unity, Mahaica.
The accused appeared at the Mahaica Magistrate’s Court, via Zoom, before Magistrate George where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was granted $70,000 bail.
The case was postponed to 2024-02-06.
