The Sheriff Group of Companies yesterday announced the acquisition of a US$9.14m Bell 429 rescue helicopter.
A release from the company said that this new acquisition will expand the fleet of assets dedicated to improving emergency services, having just welcomed the Bell 505 to Guyana.
The Bell 429, scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of next year, is a state-of-the-art helicopter, certified through the MSG-3 process, making it one of the most modern on the market, the release said. It features advanced technology and the cabin includes club seating configuration, providing comfort and flexibility for various missions. It will be fully outfitted and equipped to support offshore operations.

Guyanese pilot, Akeem Stoll has just returned from training in Houston, Texas.
Financing for the Bell 429 was secured directly through Bell/Textron while the Bell 505 was financed through the US EXIM Bank.
