The High Flyers, Golden Stars B, and Dyke Ballers tallied contrasting wins when the ‘One Guyana’ King and Queen Beach Football Championship continued on Tuesday evening at the PPP office compound in Mackenzie, Linden.
The High Flyers soared past Ahassa 1-0. Keon Sears recorded the only conversion of the fixture. On the other hand, Golden Stars B brushed aside the Wiz Ballers by a 2-0 score-line. The combination of Kenroy Giles and Tyrese Schultz scored one goal each.
Meanwhile, Dyke Ballers crushed Rockstone 4-0. The quartet of Jamal Yaw, Mark Samuels, Deshawn Yaw, and Marcus Forde found the back of the net once, respectively.
Also, Universal Ballers and Golden Stars A battled to a 2-2 stalemate. Joshua Fleming and Matthew Pavi were on target for the Universal Ballers, while Joel Daw and Kenneth James etched their names on the scorer’s sheet for Golden Stars A.
The event continues tonight at the same venue with another round of matches. At 19:30hrs, Golden Stars B will lock horns with Gorillas Dynamo and battle Aroaima in a female encounter at 20:20hrs. The females will also take centre stage at 21:00hrs, when Speightland faces off against Hururu. In the final encounter, Golden Stars A will take aim at High Flyers at 21:40hrs. Matches will also be conducted on Christmas and Boxing Day, respectively.
