Capital FC and Winners Connection maintained their perfect record following comfortable wins when the maiden edition of the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) futsal championship commenced on Sunday at the Retrieve Tarmac, Linden.
Winners Connection maintained their perfect record, brushing aside Coomacka 4-1. Nicholas Gentle crafted a brace, while Andre Phillips and Akeem Caesar netted one goal, respectively. An own goal was the only conversion for the loser.
Similarly, Capital FC downed Topp XX by a 3-1 score to maintain their perfect record. Keon Sears bagged a double, while Felix Inniss netted once. On target in the loss was Jamal Bentick.
Meanwhile, Hi-Stars thrashed Fearless 12-3. Dequan Samuels led the rout with six conversions, while Shamia Samuels and Jevon Bethune recorded two goals apiece. Adding one goal each were Rodrick Britton and Jermain King. For the loser, Chochegi Mars recorded a double, while Devon Gilbert netted once.
Also, the Eagles clawed past the Golden Stars 4-2. The quartet of Kwesi Quintin, Shevy Seaforth, Darius Williams, and Qualon Andries netted one goal, respectively. For the losers, Aquon Chester and Jofan Reynolds scored one goal, respectively.
