Gorillas and High Flyers secured wins in the male division, whilst Dynamo and Speightland were victorious in the female section when the ‘One Guyana’ King and Queen Beach Football Championship continued on Thursday evening at the PPP office compound, Mackenzie, Linden.
In the male segment, Gorillas edged Golden Stars B 1-0 via a Shaka Lewis strike in the third minute. On the other hand, High Flyers bested Golden Stars A by a 2-1 score. Shaquille Baptiste and Simmiah Samuels scored in the second and 21st minute respectively. For the loser, Kenneth James netted in the third minute.
Vancooten and Sandra Johnson
In the female section, Dynamo crushed Aroaima 3-0. Akeelah Vancooten bagged a double in the fourth and 17th minute, whilst Sandra Johnson scored in the 15th minute.
Similarly, Speightland crushed Hururu 4-1. The quartet of Shenessa Cornelius, Shanacia Williams , Aaliyah Venture, and Nikita Wayne scored in the third, eighth, 11th, and 15th minute apiece. On target in the loss was Alencia Hodge in the 12th minute.
