Stabroek Ballers, Sparta Boss, Seaside A, and Bent Street recorded comfortable wins when the inaugural ‘Million Dollar Baby’ Street-ball Championship continued last evening at the Soesdyke Junction Tarmac.
Stabroek Ballers downed Seaside B by a 2-0 score. Also, Sparta Boss downed the Soesdyke Warriors 2-0, while Seaside A bested Hilltop by the identical score-line. Also, Bent Street crushed Seaside Dam 4-0, while Circuitville edged Hilltop 2-0.
The teams will play for a winner’s purse of $700,000, with the runners-up receiving $200,000, third place $150,000, and fourth place $50,000. The tournament resumes today at the same venue, with the final pencilled for tomorrow.
