More than 1,600 individuals have been training in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), this year, according to the Department of Public Information (DPI).
The DPI press release said the training, which encompassed various facets of ICT, was facilitated by the Office of the Prime Minister’s Industry and Innovations Unit.
Basic community-level training has been conducted in regions two, three, four, five, six, and ten, the release said. Other areas include the Hinterland Train the Trainers initiative, ICT innovation Camps, Guyanese Girls Code, and Computer Literacy Skills Training for the Blind and Visually Impaired, it added.
