Travis Persaud, a 31-year-old labourer of Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast, pleaded guilty to the charge of malicious damage to property and was sentenced to thirty (30) months imprisonment. Persaud appeared at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam last Thursday where the charge was read to him. He was charged with the offence on December 19th, 2023 at Anna Regina. It is reported that the offence was committed on the property of Timothy Simon, called ‘Sanko’, a 36-year-old goldminer of Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast.
