Following its initial abandonment due to a power failure at the venue on Christmas night, Monedderlust dismissed Buxton Stars 3-0 when the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League Playoffs continued yesterday at the No. 5 ground in West Coast Berbice.
The initial contest between the teams on Monday was abandoned with approximately 30 minutes remaining in the contest and the hosts leading 2-0. The resumption of the contest yesterday led to an additional goal being recorded by the Berbicians.
Terron Delph bagged a double in the 12th and 85th minutes, while Dawitt Watts found the back of the net in the 45th+2 minute. The event continues tomorrow at Eve Leary Stadium with the semi-final fixtures.
