Platinum Side, Dynamo, DC Ballers march on in ‘One Guyana’ Beach Football

Platinum Side, Dynamo, DC Ballers, and Aroaima were among the teams to advance in the ‘One Guyana’ King and Queen Beach Football Championship on Tuesday evening at the PPP office compound in Mackenzie, Linden.

In the men’s division, Platinum Side’s mauled goal is Money 7-2. Kemar McLaren [18th and 35th], Tyrese Lewis [28th and 38th], and Kristian Louis [sixth and 39th] recorded respective doubles. Adding to the score in the ninth minute was Dexter Milo. For the losers, Rawle Gittens and Deon Charter scored in the eighth and 13th minutes, respectively.

Also, the DC Ballers overcame UDR Victor by a 4-2 score. Zidane Ramdeholl bagged a double in the 13th and 28th minutes, while Nicholas Gentle and Kendolph Lewis scored in the 32nd and 34th minutes, respectively. On target in the loss were Jamal White and Junior Hunte in the eighth and 20th minutes, respectively. In the female segment, Dynamo blanked Hururu 5-0. Jalade Trim led the rout with a hat-trick in the second, 11th, and 12th minutes, while Akeelah Vancooten and Sandra Johnson scored in the fifth and 20th minutes, respectively. In their second fixture, Dynamo defeated Speightland 1-0 via a Vancooten conversion in the fourth minute.

Meanwhile, Aroaima brushed aside Rockstone 3-0. Alicia Fredericks, Shalanni Fredericks, and Ashanna Williams scored in the first, fourth, and ninth minutes apiece. Aroaima, in their second match, defeated Hururu 2-0. Williams and Ariel Hartman scored in the first and fifth minutes, respectively. In another result, YMCA crushed Team Minerals 3-1. Shaka Hall crafted a double in the sixth and 39th minutes, while Keyshawn Dey scored in the 30th minute. For the loser, Qualon Andries netted in the 26th minute.
