The Guyana Police Force (GPF) and Cougars recorded contrasting wins when the Candy Boss and Antics GT Beer 8-a-side Football Championship continued on Tuesday evening at the All Saints Scott Church ground, Princess Elizabeth Road, in New Amsterdam, Berbice.
GPF arrested Rosignol 4-2. Junior Redmond recorded a double in the 32nd and 34th minutes, while Adrian Aaron and Pernell Schultz etched their names on the scorer’s sheet in the 30th+1 and 60th+4 minutes, respectively. The event continues on Saturday at the same venue with another round of matches.
Meanwhile, the Cougars squeaked past Paradise 2-1. Ray Reddock and Alitu Drakes found the back of the net in the 27th and 33rd minutes, respectively. On target in the loss was Jamal Fiffee in the 59th minute.
