Krishnanand Ramlachana, the appointed investigator into the helicopter crash which claimed the lives of five military personnel and injured two others on December 6, has taken the aircraft’s ‘black box’ to the United States for analysis, as part of the probe into the incident, according to Public Works Minister Juan Edghill.
The minister made this disclosure on Friday at a year-end press conference in response to questions on the subject. The aviation sector falls under the purview of the Ministry of Public Works.
A flight recorder commonly known as a “black box”, is an electronic recording device placed in an aircraft for the purpose of facilitating the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents.
