Christopher and Heesan DaSilva, a Canada-based Guyanese couple have made significant strides in realising their vision of bringing a golf course to life in the Timehri area. The DaSilvas had signed a lease in September of 2023 with the Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission. The ‘Timehri Sands’ course will be a contemporary nine-hole golf course accompanied by a state-of-the-art golf practice facility on 71.5 acres of land at Hyde Park, Timehri.
In a release to the media on Friday, the Guyana Golf Association said that it “is pleased to welcome the Timehri Sands Course, the latest addition to Guyana’s fastest growing sport”.
