Guyanese basketball player Israel Yaw recorded his second consecutive win on the collegiate scene as the University of Maryland (Eastern Shore) squeaked Morgan State University 75-74 on Saturday evening at the Hytche Centre, Prince Anne, Maryland.
In 13 minutes of action, Yaw amassed two points, one steal, one assist, and a rebound, as his team improved their record to 4-9. On Tuesday, January 2nd, Yaw also defeated Clarks Summit University 95-37 to commence his two-game win streak. The former Plaisance Guardians standout is slated to return to court today against Coppin State University.
Yaw had previously attended ASA College and appeared in 22 matches. He averaged 12.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game during his junior-collegiate career.
