Two men who were on a motorcycle died last night following a crash along the Courtland Public Road, Corentyne.
Dead are Javid Mohamed, 35, of Lot 25 Fyrish Village, Corentyne, and Harrienarine Chattergoon, 29, also of Fyrish Village.
The accident happened just around 11 pm and involved motorcycle CM 2728 which the deceased were on and motor car PAC 3786 owned and which was being driven by a GPL Engineer.
According to the initial investigation, the car was heading west when the motorcycle which was being ridden by Mohamed with Chattergoon as the pillion rider proceeding in the opposite direction, slammed head-on into the car.
As a result the two were flung from the motorcycle and landed on the road.
Mohamed was pronounced dead on arrival at a Corentyne hospital while Chattergoon subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
