Caribbean mobile phone company, Digicel, has announced the conclusion of its mega Christmas campaign, “D’Bess Christmas”, and according to the company, it has been a success.
In a release yesterday, Digicel, explained that its campaign was marked by a series of promotions aimed at providing customers with the best Christmas experience, with the results being “nothing short of extraordinary.”
Judging from the response of its customer base, by far the most popular promotion and the highlight of the season was Spin to Win, where participants had the chance to spin a “big money” wheel where the lowest amount to be won was $1 million and the highest, $3.6 million.
According to the release, the Spin to Win promotion took centre stage, capturing the attention of customers “eager to partake” in the excitement. The Spin to Win promotion was divided into three “exhilarating” game shows, with four customers participating in the first two, and six customers in the final game show that concluded on Monday, January 8. As stated, the game shows were filled with anticipation and excitement as customers eagerly spun the wheel, hoping to bag the $3.6 million.
A total of 14 fortunate customers earned the opportunity to spin the wheel by activating a data plan and entering into a draw. The selection process, Digicel assured, was fair and transparent, with their numbers being randomly drawn to determine the lucky participants. These customers were: Gavin Hernandez, Natoya Gibson, Nafeeza Khan, Patriese Simeon, Troy Cox, Shazim Baig, Alesha DaSilva, Colin Wilson, Cranston Boyce, Gabriel Abrams, Delroy Carroll, Jason Gordon, Lyrna Shepherd and Roxanne Daniels.
However, when it all ended, DaSilva from Linden, Shepherd from Mabaruma, and Daniels from Mabaruma, were the only customers to win the highest amount. The release noted that throughout the Christmas campaign, Digicel offered a half-off sale on handsets, free data, and donated to toy drives in various regions of Guyana to spread the holiday cheer.
The company disclosed that in total, it had given away some $27.1 million in winnings throughout its “D’Bess Christmas” campaign and said that it was thrilled to have been able to bring joy and excitement to its customers during the holiday season while being grateful grateful for their continued support.
