Raul Ramsawack, 38, of Rosignol Village, West Coast Berbice, appeared before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman, at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday where he was charged with break and enter and larceny.
It was alleged that between January 6 and 8, he broke and entered a storeroom owned by Ryan Singh and stole one power drill valued $60,000, one 10-gallon container of paint valued $80,000 and one 5-gallon container of paint valued $40,000.
Ramsawack pleaded guilty to the charges.
The court heard that Ramsawack was found inside of the storeroom where the aforementioned items were stolen from. It was also revealed that Ramsawack had no fixed place of abode and as such, the likelihood of him returning to court was low.
Ramsawack was remanded to prison and the matter was adjourned to January 31 for statements.
