Mark Gentle called ‘Brother’, a 31-year-old miner and his reputed wife Alisa Johnson, a 28-year-old unemployed woman, both of whom reside in Georgetown, were arrested on January 7th, 2024 at Mango Landing Outpost in Regional Police Division #8 for possession of 990 grammes of marijuana.
They were both charged on Tuesday for Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking. The duo appeared at the Mahdia Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce, who read the charge to both defendants.
They pleaded not guilty and were each placed on $100,000 bail, on condition that they report to Mahdia Police Station every last Saturday of the month at 09:00 hrs. The case was postponed to April 16th, 2024 for trial.
