Action in the West Demerara Cricket Association’s (WDCA) Jits & Neelam 40-over competition will continue tomorrow with three scheduled matches.
Those matches are part of the fourth round of group stage matches of the competition and will see Canal #2 face Windsor Forest Vipers at the former’s home ground while All Youths Sports Club will take on McGill Superstars at the Bellevue Community Ground. The third match will pit Cold Fusion against Rising Stars with that fixture slated for the Zeelugt Ground. All matches are scheduled to bowl off at 10 am.
The tournament which began in December of last year, will conclude in February if fair weather permits. A total of 20 teams are participating across four groups of five with the top team from each group progressing to the semi-finals.
Group A consists of Meten-Meer-Zorg Defenders, Windsor Forest ‘A’, Wales Cricket Club, Cornelia Ida Cricket Club and Leonora Cricket Club while Group B is made up of Bellevue Sports Club, McGill Superstars, Rising Stars, Cold Fusion and All Youths.
Group C has bundled together Canal #2, VNS Cricket Club, Windsor Forest Vipers, New Windsor and West Dem Legends. Group D pits La Grange All Stars, Zeeburg Sports Club, Shamrock, Goed Fortuin and Meten-Meer-Zorg Sports Club together.
