Yesterday, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers conducted an operation in Norton Street, Wortmanville. During the operation, a search was conducted on a male, leading to the discovery of several types of ammunition.
Ron Fletchman, 46 years of Melanie Damishana, E.C.D, was arrested, and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the ammunition, and subsequently handed over to the Guyana Police Force with the said ammunition for further investigation.
The ammunition discovered included:
Eleven (11) 9mm rounds
One (1) .223 round
Investigations are ongoing.
