AAG’s season underway, 2nd developmental meet slated for today

Ebo McNeil won the Boys U-18 3k race last Sunday at the first AAG Developmental meet of 2024.

The Athletics Association of Guyana’s (AAG) season is underway and the second of many scheduled developmental meets will run off today at the National Track and Field Centre (NTFC) at Edinburgh on the West Coast of Demerara.

Vice-President of the AAG, Nial Stanton told Stabroek Sport that the first quarter of 2024 has been earmarked by the association for intense competitions aimed at preparing the cream of the crop of young athletes for the upcoming international competitions, Carifta Games included.

Almost every Sunday will see these developmental meets run off albeit not at the full distances of the various track events.
