The second trading period in January 2024 has seen the Lucas Stock Index decline 1.848 percent on the sale of 34,087 shares. The price of five stocks remained constant while there were three Tumblers, which caused the value of the index to fall by G$15.3B this week.
The stock price of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) fell 9.091 percent on the sale of 3,560 shares while that of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) fell 3.846 percent on the sale of 2,474 shares. In addition, the stock price of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) fell 0.264 percent on the sale of 600 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Banks DIH (DIH), Caribbean Container Inc, Demerara Bank Limited (DBL), Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) and Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) remained unchanged on the sale of 17,639; 3,385; 3,211; 2,870 and 348 shares respectively.
