Last week, two senators from France visited Region One to express France’s solidarity with Guyana in the face of Venezuela’s illegitimate and baseless claim on the Essequibo region.
During their three-day mission in the Northwest, Senators Phillipe Folliot and François Bonneau toured the Amazon Caribbean (AmCar) heart of palm factory situated on the Barima River. This French-invested company plays a crucial role in supporting over 500 Amerindian families in the region.
