Cemetery Road from Princess Street to Sussex Street closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday to facilitate timely completion of the widening project. Recently on the instruction of President Irfaan Ali, Minister in the Ministry of Public Works Deodat Indar visited the project site to ensure it was moving apace. Significant gaps were discovered that led to the delays in the works and GTT was flagged for its failure to splice its fibre cable in the project zone, which led to a delay in the civil works on the concrete bridge at the head of Princes Street.
