The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) completed a perfect 5-0 record in the Womenโs 1st Division Football League to cap off a flawless championship campaign, disarming the Pakuri Warriors 3-0 yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
The army unit, which clinched the title the week prior after defeating its arch-nemesis, the Guyana Police Force, 2-1, stormed to victory on the back of goals from recent recruits Jalade Trim and Sandra Johnson.
Trim commenced the rout with a double in the 21st and 46th minutes, while Johnson tallied a second-half hat-trick in the 53rd, 56th, and 63rd minutes. The tournament also featured participation from the Fruta Conquerors and Santos.
