Prime Minister Mark Phillips yesterday met with the President of Caiman Industries, Environmental (CIE), Darryl Nq-A-Qui.
During the meeting, Phillips was briefed on the company’s development of the independently owned Loo Creek Solar Farm project, which will see the building of a 5.8 MW solar farm on a 40-acre land on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, approximately 20 km north of Linden.
A release from the PM’s office said that once fully operational, the farm is expected to supply electrical power within a 10 km radius.
In addition, the Prime Minister and Nq-A-Qui discussed other energy-related areas.
The meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister on Camp Street.
