PM meets executives of Guyana/China Friendship Society

Prime Minister Mark Phillips yesterday met with Executives of the Guyana/China Friendship Society (GCFS) at the Office of the Prime Minister on Camp Street.

Serving as the Patron of the Society,  Phillips and the executive committee, led by the President of the GCFS, Paul Cheong, held discussions on fostering closer friendships and mutual cultural exchanges and cooperation between Guyana and China.

The GCFS was established in 1982 to promote friendship, cultural relations and solidarity between Guyana and the People’s Republic of China.

A release from the Prime Minister’s office said that Cheong was accompanied by the society’s Vice President, Ernesto Choo; Secretary, May Cheung; Treasurer, Judy Hung; Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Haopei Yang, along with Elsie Harry, Zhang He Chun, Dr Vikesh Bissoon, and Kayshell Jennings.
