Police ranks from Regional Division #6, Special Branch and members of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) conducted an intelligence-lead raid earlier this week at the home of Jagdeo Ramdass of Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice, during which they found suspected ecstasy, cocaine and marijuana.
The ranks, during a search of the premises, found a plastic bag with 81 ziploc packets containing tablet-like substances suspected to be ecstasy, a release yesterday from the police said. The ranks also found suspected cocaine and marijuana.
Ramdass along with his wife were arrested and taken to Springlands Police Station where they were placed in custody. The man admitted knowledge of the marijuana but denied knowledge of the suspected cocaine or the suspected ecstasy, the release added.
