The report of the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) into the deaths of 20 children last year after a fire at the Mahdia Secondary School female dormitory was today handed over.
Chairman of the CoI, Major General (Rtd) Joe Singh handed over the report to President Irfaan Ali at State House.
Singh, in remarks, said that the report identified the root causes of the fire. He urged that a memorial to the children be erected at the site of the fire.
In his remarks, President Ali said a memorial will be built.
