Former Western Tigers head coach Calvin ‘Fluman’ Allen, as well as goalkeeping trainer Travis ‘Zoti’ Bess, have signed on with Elite League outfit Anns Grove for the impending 2024 season, which is slated to commence on February 25th.
Allen and Bess tendered their respective resignations from the West Ruimveldt-based outfit less than three days before the club competed in the League Cup final against arch-rival the Guyana Defence Force on January 1st, 2024.
Allen’s resignation was confirmed following an official post on his Facebook page on December 28th, 2023. Allen and Bess guided the Western Tigers to a second-place finish in the 2023 GFF Elite League with 22 points.
Allen, who is also known for his stint with the Fruta Conquerors, was appointed by the Western Tigers in January 2023. Efforts to contact Allen and Bess for a comment proved futile. Calls to their respective cell phones went unanswered up to press time.
