The Guyana Police Force yesterday issued wanted bulletins for three persons in connection with money-laundering and other financial crimes here.
According to the police, the Special Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) is seeking Jason Van Lange, Rajeshwar Persaud and Swastie Singh.
It said that Van Lange is also known as `Raj Per-saud’ or `Dave Persaud’. His last known address is 20th Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara.
Singh’s last known address is Hubu, East Bank Essequibo.
Rajeshwar Persaud’s last known address is Hubu, East Bank Esse-quibo and Lot 10 Public Road, Prospect, East Bank Demerara. The Police said that Rajeshwar Persaud is also known as `Raj Persaud’ and `Dave Persaud’.
On February 25, 2019, Rajeshwar Persaud was remanded over an investigation as it related to obtaining money by false pretence.
A release from the police then had said that based on information received the suspect under the pretence of being a police officer, allegedly collected large sums of money from persons on the pretext that he was in a position to assist them in police-related matters. Investigations had also revealed that he allegedly sold vehicles and properties for which he was not the owner, the police had said.
