With officials deciding on an additional day’s play (slated for today) for the rain-hit Guyana Harpy Eagles trial match between Matthew Nandu’s XI and Antony Adams’ XI, Friday produced intense action at the Meten-Meer-Zorg Community Ground.
Yesterday, originally to be the fourth and final day of the match, produced a noteworthy performance with the bat from middle order batter Kevlon Anderson who stroked an unbeaten 83 to put his side (Adams XI) back in contention in their second innings after Nandu’s XI had resumed the day in their first innings and forged ahead with a lead of 91.
Thanks to Anderson’s knock, the Adams XI overhauled that lead to open up an advantage of 48 in their second turn with the bat.
