Dear Editor,
As the so-called CoI (commission of inquiry) into the negligence-fuelled tragic demise of the children, and the (hot potato) blame game ran its course, the crucial issues were not discussed to their fullest extent even after the pathetic COI basked in its own failure. Even the allegation of arson by a disgruntled student was cast aside simply because as the inquiry struggled along with its inherent inconsistencies, they must have concluded privately that their investigations, for political reasons had not delved deep or thoroughly enough …thus bringing the so called “inquiry “to a long-overdue screeching , shuddering, inconclusive halt…which is… everybody else except the governments (2015—-2024), under whose “watchful” eyes this and many other lapses were overlooked by their casual lazy approach to due process and vigilance in maintenance regulations, while PPP and PNC claim to be Guyana’s only hope for a better future. All the best Guyana.
Yours faithfully,
P. Harris
