Lodge All-Stars, Ballerz Empire, Victoria Eagles, and Sophia B recorded contrasting wins when the ‘Georgetown versus the Rest’ street-ball championship continued on Saturday evening at the Back Circle tarmac in East Ruimveldt.
Lodge All-Stars downed Genesis 2-1. On the other hand, the Ballerz Empire crushed the LA Ballers 2-0. Likewise, the Victoria Eagles clawed past the Gunners 2-0. In other results, Back Circle B defeated Show Stoppers via walkover, while Bent Street and Agricola played to a scoreless affair. Also, Back Circle A and Make It Happen contested a 1-1 stalemate.
The tournament continues on Tuesday at the same venue with another round of matches. The winner of the event will pocket $400,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will walk away with $200,000, $100,000, and $50,000, respectively. On the individual side, the eventual Most Valuable Player (MVP) will ride away with a motorcycle.
