Pouderoyen mauled Wales by a 6-0 score-line when the West Demerara Football Association Pre-Season Championship commenced on Friday night at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
Matthew Chidume commenced the rout in the third minute, racing onto a lobbed pass before rifling the ball through the legs of the advancing goalkeeper down the centre of the net.
A penalty in the 25th following a handball infraction led to Pouderoyen increasing their lead as Chidume completed his double with a strike into the bottom left-hand corner.
Chidume then completed his hat-trick in the 35th minute, racing onto a through pass emanating from the midfield area before scoring into the right corner.
Recent recruit Casper Evans then made his presence felt two minutes before the halftime interval, latching onto a pass from Dwayne Peters inside the right of the penalty area before lashing his effort into the right corner.
Chidume then continued his goal-scoring exploits in the second half, completing his helmet trick in the 46th minute with a conversion to the right corner from inside the 18-yard area after racing onto a lobbed pass.
Kenaz Stephens completed the rout in the 60th minute, thumping the ball to the right corner after receiving a through pass from Kevin Duke.
The fixture would not be without controversy, as Keon Duke and Darrel Abrams of Pouderoyen, as well as Kenton Boyce of Wales, were issued red cards in the 78th minute for an altercation on the field.
The event continues today at the same venue with another doubleheader. At 18:00hrs, Crane Rovers will oppose Belle West, while Eagles will battle Uprising at 20:00hrs
