A Walton Hall, Essequibo man was on Tuesday held with foreign marijuana known as `Creepy’.
On Tuesday, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) Officers conducted an operation at Walton Hall, Essequibo Coast, where they intercepted a motor vehicle driven by Romario Stoll. A subsequent search of the motor vehicle revealed forty brick-like parcels wrapped with brown scotch tape containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.
A release from CANU said that a subsequent search was conducted at Lot 229 Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, which led to the discovery of an additional 20 brick-like parcels containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis.
Stoll of Lot 229 Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, was arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the suspected cannabis. The narcotic found in the motor vehicle was tested and determined to be “Creepy”. It was weighed and amounted to 23.4 kilograms with a street value of $8.4m.
Investigations are ongoing.
