The Guyana/China Friendship Society is to hold a Special General Meeting on February 28th and is seeking records for the purpose of auditing its accounts.
In a notice in today’s Sunday Chronicle, the Society said that apart from its resuscitation, it is seeking records from all past and current members for auditing.
A note attached to the notice said: “The steering committee is appealing to all past members of the Association that has the Society’s records to kindly submit or make available these documents to facilitate the audit in keeping with the Friendly Societies Act Ch 36:04”.
The meeting will be held at 5 pm at the New Thriving Restaurant on Main Street.
