(Trinidad Express) 31-Year-old Luka Goring was last night shot and killed while inside a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in Gasparillo.
CCTV footage circulating of the killing showed that Luka Goring, a 31-year-old labourer of Gopaul Lands in Marabella, had been involved in a violent altercation with another customer at the restaurant on Friday evening.
A police report on the incident stated that Goring had engaged in a physical scuffle with the man, himself allegedly stabbing the suspect several times before he was shot.
The footage, seen by the Express, coupled with several other clips circulating on social media, depicts two adult men engaging in a verbal exchange at around 7.15.p.m while the restaurant’s lone security guard attempted to part the two.
Minutes after he was handed a knife, Goring appears to approach the second man while being deterred by the guard.
The two men and a woman are seen moving closer to the restaurant’s exit in CCTV footage, while secondary footage shot from an external source shows one of the men making several stabbing motions near the abdomen of the second man.
Minutes later, at around 7.16.p.m, the second man is seen in the footage revealing a firearm and firing shots at the Goring.
He was left lying on the floor as customers fled to safety.
