Teju, Brady, Hunter rewrite records at GAPLF National Novices Championship

The record books were rewritten yesterday at the Saint Stanislaus College Auditorium as 20-year-old Nicholas Teju (Men’s Junior Raw 53 kg), Romeo Hunter (Men’s Sub Junior 83 kg), and Norman Brady (Men’s Master 4 Raw 83 kg) set new records in their respective weight classes at the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation’s (GAPLF) National Novices Championship.

The event, the place where future stars are born, saw Teju set new records in the men’s junior raw 53 kg squat, deadlift, and total weight lifted.

He squatted 145 kg (319.670 lbs), had a deadlift of 182.5 kg (402.334 lbs), and lifted a total weight of 402.5 kg.
