CANU officer involved in multiple vehicle smash-up on Corentyne

The police are currently investigating an accident on the #72 Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice on Sunday around 6 am involving an officer attached to the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU). No injury was reported.

The police said the accident involved a motor pick-up, PRR 2272 owned by the Government of Guyana and attached to the Ministry of Home Affairs, based at CANU Region #6 and driven by a CANU officer; motor car #HC 2015 and motor lorry, GJJ 7052 both owned and parked by Narine Dennis, 41-year-old of Lot 139 #72 Village and motor car, HC 3733 owned and parked by Vishnu Persaud of Lot 35 B #72 Village.
