A Crabwood Creek, Upper Corentyne driver died on Sunday around 5 am after losing control and slamming into a concrete bridge along Kilcoy/Chesney Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice.
Dead is Lakchan Premkumar, 28, of Lot 126 Grant 1805 Crabwood Creek, Upper Corentyne who was driving motor car PAD 3731.
According to information gathered, Premkumar was proceeding west along the southern drive lane of the Kilcoy/Chesney Public Road allegedly at a fast rate when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle and ended up on the northern side of the road where he ran into a concrete bridge.
As a result of the collision, the driver was flung out of his motor car and fell into a drain.
He was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the Port Mourant Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body is presently lying at Ramoo’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
