The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons were unveiled yesterday as the newest franchise in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL), replacing the three-time champion Jamaica Tallawahs, who have become defunct after the 2023 edition.
This was confirmed by a press release from CPL. According to the correspondence, the team, which was unveiled at the Vivian Richards Stadium during a gala event, is owned by the founder and president of Worldwide Sports Management Group, Guyanese Krishna Persaud. This is the second franchise to emanate from Antigua and Barbuda, following the participation of the Hawksbills, which operated from 2013–2014.
