The Edward B. Beharry Group of Companies Ltd and G-Boats GY Limited have thrown their support behind Youth Basketball Guyana’s (YBG) 2024 developmental programmes.
This was confirmed at separate Presentation ceremonies yesterday. This year’s patronage from the Beharry Group is valued at $3,000,000, of which $2,000,000 is in cash and $1,000,000 in kind.
Company Brand Manager, Malisa Jeffers stressed the importance of the entity’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering discipline, and building character through youth basketball so that students can reach their full potential on and off the court.
Meanwhile, G-Boats GY renewed its partnership for a 5th straight year to the tune of $3,000,000 dollars, a portion of which will be utilised in the rehabilitation of the St Ignatius Secondary School Court and the installation of Basketball Hoop, according to Daniel LaFont, Business Development Director.
YBG’ Co-Director, Chris Bowman, thanked the entities for their continued support. YBG will tip off its season from tomorrow with the Challenge Series and Shooting Competition at the National Gymnasium.
