Defending champion, the Guyana Harpy Eagles, lead the West Indies Academy by 178 runs following the conclusion of day two at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and Barbuda in the Cricket West Indies 4-Day Championship.
The Harpy Eagles, who were bundled out for 175 in the first innings, sit on 165/5 from 65 overs, as their spinners denied the West Indies Academy from securing a lead following the latter’s dismissal for 162 in 49 overs.
10 of the 11 wickets to be dismissed yesterday fell to spinners, as Veerasammy Permaul and Gudakesh Motie recorded figures of 3-15 and 3-31, respectively, to aid Kevin Sinclair’s initial haul of 4-45 from Wednesday. Resuming on 96-4, the academy lost their remaining six wickets for 66 runs.
