The third trading period in February 2024 has resulted in the Lucas Stock Index declining by 0.469 percent on the sale of 40,600 shares. Eight stocks were traded this week among which were three Tumblers and no Climbers. The Tumblers lost over G$3.7B in value producing a similar impact on the index.
The stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) fell 1.869 percent on the sale of 2,070 shares while of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) fell 1.781 percent on the sale of 150 shares. In addition, the stock price of Banks DIH (DIH) declined 0.323 percent on the sale of 29,305 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Caribbean Container Inc. (CCI), Demerara Bank Limited (DBL), Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC), Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) and Republic Bank Limited (RBL) remained unchanged on the sale of 6,955; 70; 387; 543 and 1,120 shares respectively.
