Twenty-nine-year-0old Ryan Adams was placed on self-bail after he appeared before Magistrate Rhondel Weaver at the Georgetown Magistrates Court last Monday charged with robbery.
It is alleged that on February 13, 2024, at Kitty Seawall, Georgetown, while in the company of another, he robbed Shivanie Sugrim of a quantity of clothes valued $6,000, groceries valued $1,000, one pair of shoes valued $4,000, stationery valued $400, one gold chain valued $30,000 and one Samsung cellphone valued $20,000, all with a total value $68,400. “You have nothing? So what are you charging him for?” Magistrate Weaver asked before placing Adams on self-bail and adjourning to March 11, for statements and fixture.
